Raising teens is an adventure and I am so thankful for a few books about parenting teenagers that have helped along the way.
When my children were all young, I tried so hard to soak in all the moments because I had a misconceived notion that the teen years would only bring struggles. I was definitely wrong because I find myself loving these years. Along with the Bible {and carrying over lessons learned from previously parenting books, which I will share soon} here are a few specific books about parenting teenagers.

PARENTING TEENAGERS BOOKS
AGE OF OPPORTUNITY by Paul David Tripp
This was my very first parenting teenagers book that I read and it gave me an entirely new perspective. The day in and day out of raising teens can be an adventure and this book helped prepare me for it. For parents, it can feel like so much changes during these years and we need to learn to adjust with the shift.
THE 5 LOVE LANGUAGES OF TEENAGERS BY GARY CHAPMAN
After reading the book this author wrote specifically for marriage and then children, I was glad to see that he has one specific to parenting teenagers. This book is full of overall information about raising teens, but also detailed explanations on each love language. At the end of the book, there is a test for your child to take in order to determine their specific love language, so you can parent accordingly.
SCREENS AND TEENS BY KATHY KOCH
Technology is all around us and it is not going away. In this book, the author addresses the specific issues and concerns of screens during the teen years. There are also some good benefits to screens when it comes to our teenagers and she gives advice from her years of working and teaching. She provides examples and concrete evidence to support everything she writes.
The teen years really are adventurous. I love all the possibilities for our days and even better: I get a front row seat to watch them launch out into the world. Not only that, I get to walk alongside them and these parenting teenagers books have really given me a positive perspective to these years.

These are great! We finished the teen years 2 years ago, and I wish I’d read all of these! Thankfully, God provided where we were lacking, but having any and all of these books would have been great!
