The Christmas season is full of sights, sounds, and smells. This Christmas stovetop potpourri will bring a cozy feel to your home, as well as be a perfect gift for friends and family.
One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is the coziness of home. One of the ways I create that feeling in my home is with a Christmas scent. This Christmas stovetop potpourri adds the subtle hint of the holidays that my family loves.
The first time I discovered simmering a Christmas potpourri on a stovetop was over ten years ago. And at that time, I gave it at a gift to all of the preschool and Sunday school teachers of my kiddos. Today, I am sharing it with you because…well, it’s a gift that needs to be given.

HOW TO CREATE A CHRISTMAS POTPOURRI GIFT
Once you have all of your supplies gathered together, gently place them inside your take-out box. {I found mine at a local Michael’s craft store.}
Fold the top down and into the folds of either side. You may want to place a piece of clear tape on top…just in case.
Print out and attach one gift label.
You are all set! These make wonderful gifts for teachers and neighbors especially. I often don’t know what to get for those people and something they can easily enjoy will be appreciated. Plus, everyone gets the warm fuzzy feels when a gift is homemade.

HOW TO ENJOY THE CHRISTMAS POTPOURRI
Slice the orange into quarters.
Place all of the ingredients into a small saucepan.
Cover with a few cups of water. {Refill the water as needed}
Place on stovetop and simmer to release the scent.
I enjoy the smell of my Christmas potpourri simmering on my stovetop for a few hours a day. The rest of the day, I simply leave it out on top of my stove. Even though the heat is turned off, the aroma continues to fill our home.
