This vintage home entryway makeover took some giant leaps in progress in week one and week two. This past week was more of a steady {but small} step forward. I had a particularly full week and so, it was the perfect week for James to step in and help me with a part of the project.

Week one brought a huge difference with the walls, trim, baseboard, and doors being painted:

Week two gave this space a pop with the painted risers and addition of a larger coat rack:

WEEK THREE BEFORE
I decided to keep the bench that we had been using, but the color was not working in the space anymore.
LIGHT FIXTURE UPDATE
The biggest change this week was a small one, but it gives our vintage home entryway makeover an entirely different feel.
Ta-da! James changed out the light fixture! Remember the before?
And now this fun vintage light fixture graces our ceiling!
This light was found at a consignment shop a while ago. I didn’t have a plan for it when I brought it home and then this $100 Room Challenge began. It needed a little freshening up, so I spray painted everything but the globe.
REPAINTED BENCH
The bench feels a little out of place, but the plan is for this black to tie in with what I will be doing on the staircase wall this coming week.
