FAVORITE PRACTICAL MOTHER’S DAY GIFT IDEAS
After taking a look around my home at what has made my role as mom easier, I settled on a few practical gift ideas. If I didn’t already have all of these, I would be thrilled to receive them on Mother’s Day. Maybe send this list as a hint to someone for your gift…or this may give you an idea for your gift-giving.
1. Bamboo Wood Magnetic Knife Holder I added this to our kitchen a few months ago and it’s been amazing! Not sure how I lived without the easy accessibility of all my knives.
2. 6 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker Many days tend to be busy and I rely upon my crockpot a few times each week. Getting dinner started hours earlier and then “forgetting about it” helps us to have home-cooked meals even on the nights full of running around.
3. 64-oz Vitamix We’ve had a Vitamix for a few years and hands down, it is better than any blender or anything similar. It’s super easy to use and I couldn’t imagine using anything else.
4. Hand-Held Immersion Blender An immersion blender comes in handy for a quick puree and the cordless rechargeable battery is genius!
5. 2 Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet Last summer, I switched to cast iron pans. It took a little bit to get used to it, but now it feels completely normal to have a few pans going on my stovetop at the same time.
6. The Life-Giving Home This book has been on my list of top reads for a while, and this past year I re-read it again for a little more encouragement.
7. Anne of Green Gables DVD This gift idea is purely for fun! I grew up loving Anne of Green Gables and an afternoon of a few snacks and cuddled on the couch watching Anne is good for anyone’s heart.
8. Electric Toothbrush Best toothbrush ever. After ten years, my former electric toothbrush quit on me. This has been an amazing replacement and once you switch to an electric toothbrush, you won’t ever go back to a regular one.
9. Assorted Organic Vegetable and Herb Seeds Whether the garden is an acre, 100 square feet, or in containers, an assorted mix of seeds is great to give to a gardener.
10. PopSocket I don’t usually get excited about accessories for technology, but popsockets have saved my hands as I juggle a few things, including my phone. Plus…this one is really cute!
11. Berkey Water Filter We’ve been using our Berkey for 2 1/2 years and I couldn’t imagine our kitchen without it. Having a source of clean filtered water is really important to us and we use this every day, all day long. {Click HERE for the blog post all about our Berkey.}
Pilea Peperomioides Plant Indoor plants are the gift that keeps on giving. A bouquet of flowers is pretty, but a plant will last much longer. Plus, you’ll always be thought of when they look at the plant you gave to them.
12. Cast Iron Dinner Bell Are you tired of yelling that it’s dinnertime? I was. No more yelling in my home, just a quick little ring on the bell and everyone comes running!
I’d love to hear your Mother’s Day gift ideas too!

Last year my older kids got me a air fryer. Didn’t even think I wanted one but I love it!
I also love the idea if they help me plant and mulch for mother’s day. Help is such a gift!!!

How fun that they got you something unexpected that you now love! And I adore the idea of doing a project together…like planting and mulching. ♥
