It was a sweet gathering replete with English tea type munchies to discuss Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Reading classic literature is a great way to experience the world of years ago and this book club meeting was rich in conversation.

SIMPLE ENGLISH TEA
In building off the setting of Pride and Prejudice, we used a vintage tablecloth and crochet runner under some yummy English tea-type food. A simple setting was just enough ambiance.

We kept it simple and served scones, biscuits with butter and jam, finger sandwiches, and cookies.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

You know that a get together to watch the movie was “mandatory” for this book. Two versions available are: the 1980 mini-series and a 2019 movie. Watching a movie after reading a book is always fun. Be sure to ask this question afterwards: which was better, the book or the movie?
