Creating a simple and elegant spring tablescape can easily be done by using fresh flowers and a few candlesticks. This seasonal look can be accomplished on a budget and by using items you already have on hand.
I am really excited to join some blogger friends today with some spring inspiration! A huge thank you to Leen from Sand Dollar Home for putting this “Celebrate Spring” blog hop together. And if you’ve popped over from Dara at The Roots of Home, welcome! I’m so glad to have you here.
3 KEYS OF A SIMPLE SPRING TABLESCAPE
By using a few simple decor items, a spring setting can be set up in a short amount of time. This look can easily be achieved with a fresh tablecloth, flowers, and a few thrift store candlesticks.

WHITE TABLECLOTH
Our day to day dining room table look consists of our wood table, most likely covered in crumbs. For this spring tablescape, I wanted to add some brightness to the room. Covering the table with a white tablecloth has given the room a fresh new look. It is the perfect base for a simple and elegant spring tablescape.

FRESH FLORAL ARRANGEMENT
My daughter helped me out with this part of the tablescape. She loves arranging flowers, so this was a great way for her to be creative. Using an old ceramic container as a vase, she placed a floral foam on the bottom to hold all of the stems.
It was fun to watch her create this floral arrangement. Through trial and error, she placed the stems one at a time and I love the outcome. It’s fun, whimsical, and perfectly spring!
BRASS CANDLESTICKS
One of the items I always look for when I go shopping at thrift stores is brass candlesticks. They are usually priced at only a few dollars and I always grab them because I will use them all year long in different seasonal decor.
EVERYDAY DINNERWARE
Over the years, I have become more minimal in my decor and in my everyday items. For example, I used to hold onto a lot of seasonal dinnerware. But a few big house moves later and I found it easier to let those things go rather than moving them. Ever since, I have been steering clear of a lot of extras and simply use our everyday dishes for seasonal gatherings too.
By using white plates as our every day dishes, it’s easy to adapt them to a seasonal table setting. I’ve had white dinnerware for over five years now and don’t think I’ll ever change to any other color. It really does simplify things so much.

BEHIND THE SCENES
SIMPLE AND ELEGANT SPRING TABLESCAPE
In this season of life, keeping things simple, but adding a little something special, has been the key. My kids are teens and can appreciate the little extra effort I make in creating memories around the seasons. But to keep it real here: momma doesn’t have time for anything extravagant…or for the clean-up afterwards.
I hope this encourages you to grab some fresh flowers from the grocery store and light a few candles. And enjoy lingering around a meal with the ones at your table. ♥
