We recently hosted a Son book club meeting in our home. This book, written by Lois Lowry, is the fourth and final book in her series that begins with “The Giver.” A cozy setting allowed everyone to dive into this thought-provoking book.
Book clubs are a great way to expand one’s reading repertoire. Not every book is going to be a hit with each member of the book club and that is okay. The discussion and mulling over ideas can lead to a better understanding of a book…and each other. COZY BOOK CLUB SETTING
Using some cheese cloth fabric as a base, my daughter added vintage books, pinecones, leaves, and bird decor to dress up the table. The mix of rustic elements from outside with the dainty tea cups and softness of the fabric was a pretty contrast.
COZY FALL FOOD AND DRINK
We served oatmeal raisin cookies and pumpkin muffins as a sweet treat to munch on during the discussion. Biscotti is always available as they sip on hot tea.
