This past year was filled with a lot of projects and it was fun to look back and see the top ten posts of 2020. I was surprised by quite a few of them…but in a really good way.

TOP TEN POSTS OF 2020
Each year brings a lot of change, but we may not always see it until we look back. It was a lot of run to see which posts were the favorites for this year. Thank you for being encouraging…my family and I appreciate it so much. ♥
10. HOMEMADE LAUNDRY DETERGENT
Little by little, I’ve been making changes in our home to keep things simple and natural. One of those includes a homemade laundry detergent that we’ve been using for over a year. By making my own, I have saved money…and I know exactly what ingredients are being used to wash our clothing.
9. HALLWAY/STAIRCASE REVEAL
This project was done over the course of one month and on a $100 budget. But the best part of our cozy entryway is that it fits in with our home. The pop of color on the staircase, the gallery wall, and light fixture are my favorite parts.
8. OUR HOMESCHOOL CURRICULUM
This marks our tenth year of homeschooling and it’s crazy to think that I have a 12th, 10th, and 7th grader. Much planning goes into each school year and I wanted to share our curriculum with you.
7. NEW ENTRYWAY RUG
Functional beauty doesn’t have to be sacrificed for the sake of practicality in an entryway. This cozy vintage entryway rug is the perfect solution for a small space.
6. NON-COCONUT OIL TOOTHPASTE RECIPE
Homemade toothpaste is a great alternative to store-bought brands and this is a great non-coconut oil toothpaste option.

5. PAINTED STAIRCASE/HALLWAY MAKEOVER
This spring, we completed the 12 month long project of renovating a space for our family to use. The last little bit was a painted staircase makeover that pulled the entire project together.
4. HOME OFFICE RENOVATION
We transformed a completely empty area of our home into living spaces for our family. This DIY home office renovation was a huge project, but it was worth it to create a working space.
3. BERKEY WATER FILTER SYSTEM
During those ten years of well water, I had learned quite a bit about town tap water systems and the treatment process of it. Let’s just say that going back to this type of water source was almost a deal breaker for me. But then I came across the Berkey Filter and realized that we could have the best of both worlds. Our new home and clean water.
2. OUR PAINTED VINTAGE UPRIGHT PIANO
The hardest part about painting a piano is deciding to actually do it. In my home, the piano was fine, but now that I painted our vintage upright piano, it looks amazing.
1. LIVING ROOM MAKEOVER
By simply repainting a room, the result can be dramatic enough. Besides clearing out a space, the first real step of any good room makeover is to paint it. And that is all I did in our living room.
It’s been quite a year in many ways. I hope that you are able to look back and see progress and growth in your life.
Again, thank you for following along with what we’re up to at The Little by Little Home. Your support and encouragement mean so much!
