Come along for a vintage home tour with all the before and after’s from 14 room makeovers! It’s been a crazy two years of projects and we had no idea that we’d come so far so quickly.
It has officially been two years since we bought our 105 year old house. Today seems like a great day for a vintage home tour with all of the before and after photos from room makeovers.
〈WHY WE SOLD OUR FARMHOUSE〉 〈NEW HOME PREVIEW〉 〈FIRST INSIDE LOOK〉
These past two years have gone by so quickly and while we have been in the midst of it, I hadn’t quite realized all the projects we’ve tackled. So I thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane together.

KITCHEN
The kitchen got a big overhaul that included sanding the floors, removing upper cabinets, all new appliances, and painted cabinets.

LIVING ROOM
The living room was a little by little project, with the fireplace being the first step. Followed by painting and decorating.

FRONT ENTRYWAY
One of the very first projects was to open up this entryway. It would serve our family and guests best to have more room in this space.

On the other side of our entryway is a hallway and staircase, which was done with a $100 budget.

DINING ROOM
The dining room went through an identity crisis…a few times. It had quite a few looks during the first year we lived here.

HALF BATHROOM/LAUNDRY ROOM
This was our first major room makeover, which began within hours of closing on our house. The room was formerly used as an office, but we needed another bathroom. A laundry room that was not in our dungeon of a basement was also on the to-do list.

HOMESCHOOL NOOK
Right off our kitchen, was a breakfast type nook that we converted into our homeschool “room.” It’s so convenient to have this space so easily accessible.

BACK PORCH
Right through that door in our homeschool nook, you step into our enclosed back porch. This makeover was done on a whim, after much frustration and it’s been a favorite space ever since.
FULL BATHROOM
We have one full bathroom in our home and we really needed one that would work for our family. A $100 budget makeover, followed by a little refresh were the answers.

MASTER BEDROOM
The latest bedroom makeover was James and my bedroom. This was the first step that included floor sanding and painting.

UPSTAIRS HALLWAY
This was a space that could easily have been ignored, but since we all walk through it hundreds of times a day, it got a quick makeover too.

TEEN BOY BEDROOM
Over the course of a few days during a homeschool break, I gave my teen son’s bedroom a much needed makeover.

TEEN GIRL BEDROOM
This was, by far, one of the two largest projects that we took on.

HOME OFFICE
This was the second of those huge projects. We changed our minds a few times on what the space would be and settled on a home office.

VEGETABLE GARDEN
This was not planned beyond a, “Hey, let’s build a veggie garden!” But it was a fun way to utilize some outdoor space.
